Spring
This term we will be putting on our geographer hard hats to explore the different layers of the Earth, including plate tectonics and their effects on the Earth's surface. We will be investigating different types of rock to understand more about their uses and properties. We will get stuck into looking at fossils and soils, using the work of Mary Anning as a significant geographer.
While we conduct our investigations around volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis and the long and shoret-term consequences these can have, we will also have the opportunity to use maps to learn about the lines of latitude and longitude and a compass to idenitfy the cardinal and intercardinal points.
