About Spelling Shed:

Spelling and word knowledge are key components in the process of learning to read and write. The game aspect of Spelling Shed ensures children are engaged and eager to practice their spellings regularly. The low-stakes games, quizzes and reward systems ensure that children find spelling fun. Any opportunities you have to encourage your children to play along at home would be extremely beneficial!

Each of the children doing spellings in Adventureres have been provided with their own spelling shed login for home so that they can access the games based on their spellings each week. Each groups spellings lists and the Spelling Shed web page can be found below.

Spelling Lists:

Every Monday in Adventurers class we we have our weekly spelling test, this is followed by an introduction to our new spellings which are then stuck into our Home Spellings Books to bring home and practise. Each child will have a spelling menu stuck to the inside of their books to provide children and parents with a range of different and exciting ways the children can practise, most of which the children should be able to do independently.

Whilst at school, we practise these spellings through a variety of worksheets, games and activities to the children with embedding their spellings further.
