For our wild tribe session today, owing to a harbinger blast of Winter’s icy breath, we took refuge under the cover of the quiet area and the relative shelter it provides.
The task set for us by Belinda today was to make some tasty snacks for the birds using apples and sunflower seeds.
First, we tied some sticks together to give the birds something on which to perch.
Then we spiked a cored apple with some sunflower seeds.
Finally, having threaded the apple on the tails of the string, we hung the feeders on the trees in the wild tribe area.
With the weather forecasters predicting that Winter's grip will tighten over the next few days, we think that the birds will be grateful for our efforts on their behalf to supplement their meagre rations at this time of the year.
