Graeme is a Senior School Improvement Officer with Cornwall Council. Having grown up, and attended school, in Cornwall, he has worked in education for almost 40 years, including 16 years of senior leadership and headship in secondary schools. He has served as a governor and also worked with interim Executive Boards. Graeme has worked in schools in Cambridgeshire, Bedford, London and Cornwall and returned from headship in the South East to take his current post with Cornwall Council.
Having had three children who were educated in Cornish schools, Graeme is passionate about achieving the highest quality of provision for young people in the Duchy. He is a keen supported of the arts and, as an English teacher by training, the importance of literacy and of developing a love of reading.
