We had a fantastic fun morning doing lots of activities for Sports Relief to raise money for different charities.

Each class had a go at the "Do anything-thon" to music. Eventually, the sun decided to appear so we took the music player outside and we could do anything sporty - this basically meant keeping moving for about 45 minutes.

While not doing the "Do anything-thon", the other classes took part in mindfulness/art activities related to a Sports Relief topic. The other class did a science activity based on the human body where they had to draw around their bodies and explain what our different body parts do.

We raised over £55.

So a huge thank-you to everyone who contributed and joined in with the fun!

St Petroc's Cross Country event was held last Friday afternoon. Just as it started to rain the sea blew a nippy breeze across the Downs. All the runners had to track their way through the dunes from Bude Cricket Club to the flag pole on the hill between Summerleaze and Crooklets.

From there, it was towards Sainsbury's and back towards the cricket club.

Our Years 3/4 - Kyle, Sam, Oliver, Jacob, Kelsey, Juliet, Scarlett, Eleanor, Alexi, Lacey, Harry, Ryan and Leon - ran one lap of the course; our Years 5/6 - Ollie, Luke, Alfred, William, Issy and Toby - ran two laps of the course! There were about 100 children in each race. All the children ran hard and well and had a really good go at tackling the course.

Except for Jacob, who came 8th, all the children crossed the finish-line between 30th and 100th.

Well done to all who took part and hope your free, post-race hot chocolate warmed you up!

Ollie, Issy, William, Oliver, Jacob, Thomas and Luke played fantastically in the High 5 netball festival held at Budehaven. Playing on the outside pitch meant that a whimsical wind was an extra element with which to contend!

All the children had a go at playing in the different positions and had fun taking on Marhamchurch (which we drew with), St Marks (who we beat the second time) and Bude Juniors (which we drew and lost to).

All the games were played with respect and with great sportsmanship. Overall we came 6th out of 12 teams. Well done High 5 Netballers!
